LOCATION & DIRECTIONS

Worship Address:

35 San Juan Ave

Mission Bay Community Church is located in the Excelsior neighborhood of San Francisco, California. When in person, we meet in the living room of a historical church campus designed by famous SF architect Julia Morgan. Find our address by clicking here.

The Living Room is accessed through the alley on the south side at 35 San Juan Avenue, next to the Moving Arts Academy of Dance. There are a few parking spots at the church (they fill up fast!). Use the stairs next to the sanctuary to go up 2 floors into the living room. If you let us know you're coming, we'll have someone stationed outside to help direct you.

*The main entrance on 32 Ocean Avenue is currently closed.

What can I expect?

WHAT IS A MBCC CHURCH SERVICE LIKE?

In total, a Mission Bay Community Church service is about 60 minutes in length. Services begin with an indigenous land acknowledgment, and a denouncing settler-Christianity. When it comes time for music - song lyrics are projected onto the screen so you can sing along and/or engage with worship however you feel most comfortable. After the music portion of service is complete, our leader will come out to share an encouraging and thought provoking hope-filled message about Jesus. We usually end our time together in physically distanced safe meals when in person.

WHAT'S THE CULTURE LIKE AT MISSION BAY COMMUNITY CHURCH?

Sunday's at MBCC are fun, casual, and relaxed. We're a smaller community so yes, space will be intimate. That being said, come as you are and expect to feel welcomed as our guest.
