Children at MBCC
Children are welcome at Mission Bay Community Church and are appropriately included in all aspects of church life. From infants to pre-teens, many folks at MBCC have experience nurturing and raising children who think critically; feel for those who are in need; and overall thrive in body, mind, and spirit. We believe that a strong and affirming faith life is central to developing these characteristics in our children, thus allowing them to grow into all that God hopes for them to become.

Church School
The purpose of the children's program:

Using the creative Rotation Church School model, we strive to provide a stimulating church school experience that accomplishes the following:

• Teaches the foundations and values of the Christian faith;
• Provides a joyful experience of church and Sunday School;
• Models positive nurturing by adults other than parents;
• Creates an environment that allows for questioning, exploration, and imagination;

Our teachers teach not only to live out their faith in the church community, but also to

• Step out of comfort zones and experience something new;
• Support the spiritual growth of our children;
• Learn along side of the children and other teachers;

Children's Area
The MBCC Children's A rea was put together by parents, so we hope to create an atmosphere of playfulness and safety. We have on staff two childcare workers as well as Church School teachers at all times. There is a changing table for those who need it as well as some division between the older and younger kids.
